At John Henry's, we take pride in our Sausage and Jerky products. They are made with only the best ingredients. All the meat used in our sausage comes from JOHN HENRY'S and other local Michigan farms. They will keep up to 3 months when refrigerated and can also be frozen for up to 9 months. There has been a great deal of time and energy, trial and error, to perfect the recipe's that we offer to you. The art of making quality sausage and jerky is just that: "an art" and the people who we have making our products are, in our opinion, some of the finest around with years of experience. What is JOHN HENRY’S sausage made of?
Unlike many commercial sausage makers who use trimmings and scraps to make sausage, whether it is Fresh, Dried, Smoked or some other type of curing JOHN HENRY’S uses select cuts of fresh high quality meat to make our sausage. A secret blend of spices, the best casings, aged to ensure a full flavor, Sausage making is a continuous sequence of events. Each step in the proper sequence is important to a successful and tasty sausage. All the meat we use is hormone and antibiotic free. Because our products are USDA inspected we are forced to a small amount of nitrates as a preservative, however we use less than 1/4 of 1 oz. (the minimum the USDA will allow) of nitrates per 100 lbs. of bacon & summer sausages that we produce. At JOHN HENRY’S we realize the fact that any sausage will only be as good as the products that go into it. We only want to serve the best, safest, and tastiest sausage to our family, friends, and customers.
