A perfectly roasted pasture raised turkey is just what the holiday ordered!

INGREDIENTS
John Henry's Pasture Raised Turkey
any size
Butter
3 Tbsp. softened
Salt
2 tsp
Basil
1 tsp
Ground Red Pepper
1 tsp
Paprika
1 tsp
Garlic Powder
1 tsp
Pepper
1 tsp
Sage
1/2 tsp
Rosemary
1/2 tsp
PREPARATION
Preparation
Remove giblets and neck from turkey. Pat turkey dry. Place turkey breast side up in a greased broiler pan. Combine butter and spices. Using fingers, carefully loosen the skin from turkey at neck area, working down the breast and thigh area. Rub about 1/3 of seasoning mixture under the skin. Replace the skin and rub the remaining seasoning mixture over the skin. Tie the legs together with thick string.

Cooking
Add 1 cup of water to your pan. Bake turkey at 325 degrees F for 8-10 minutes per pound or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. For example:
a 10-12lb turkey will cook for 1 hour 20 minutes - 2 hours
a 14-16lb turkey will cook for 2 hours - 2 hours 30 minutes
an 18-20lb turkey will cook for 2 hours 40 minutes - 3 hours 20 minutes
a 24+lb turkey will cook for 4 hours or more
