All orders are shipped via FedEx. You can place your order at any time and it will be at your door in 2-5 days (see ordering schedule below). You can also select a preferred delivery date during checkout.
We ship fresh, never frozen meats with every delivery. Our butcher cuts each order fresh the day it ships. Meats are vacuum-sealed in air-tight packages to preserve taste and flavor. Each fresh cut item is carefully packed in a reusable polystyrene cooler with gel ice packs. This will ensure your order arrives to you perfectly chilled and ready to cook or freeze.
Orders ship Monday – Thursday every week, so there are no ordering deadlines to remember. All orders will ship via FedEx ground/home service.

All orders are shipped via FedEx to the recipient's address with no signature required. Packages can be left at any exterior door location if no one is present to accept the shipment. Please be sure to notify the gift recipient that a perishable gift will be delivered to them and to freeze or refrigerate all products as soon as possible upon delivery.
To preserve quality, all packages must be placed into a freezer or refrigerator promptly upon delivery.
You will receive an email confirmation with the FedEx tracking number within 24 hours of the time your order ships.
We do not ship for delivery on Saturdays or Sundays. Orders cannot be shipped to P.O., A.P.O. and F.P.O. boxes.

You will be responsible for ensuring your order is moved to refrigerated or frozen storage on the date of delivery.
John Henry’s is not responsible for shipping delays caused by errors in your requested delivery address. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for orders that are delivered on time but not properly stored promptly after delivery. Our shipping coolers and ice packs are designed to keep your order fresh and cool until the original expected arrival date. If your order is delayed please call us upon arrival to discuss the quality of your product.
Please make sure the delivery location you select will not pose a risk to your delivery. We cannot be responsible for improper handling or theft of packages once they are left at your selected delivery location. If you will not be present for your delivery you may want to consider having your package sent to a trustworthy neighbor who will be home, a local business that you have made prior arrangements with or a will call at a local FedEx facility (if you can pick up same day).

Your order will be acknowledged within 1 business day once it has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation within that time, we have likely not received your order! Please make sure to contact us right away. Once we have scheduled your order for shipment based on the date ordered, a confirmation of the sales order will be emailed to you confirming your delivery date.
Please make sure you review your sales order for accuracy because your order will be packed based on the information contained on it. Once your order has been packed, your credit card will be charged, and a copy of your invoice will be emailed to you.
Unfortunately, we are not be able to offer our farm fresh eggs in our FedEx shipments. Our farm fresh eggs are available every Saturday at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. We also be offer an “eggs only” delivery in conjunction with our cooler pickup/recycling program in select areas. Please check the “egg delivery/cooler pickup” tab on our homepage to see if this service is available in your area. If the service is available, you will be able to order your eggs through this separate portal. Due to space constraints, when picking up coolers, we are not be able to deliver any other products besides eggs on this route.

Where does John Henry’s Meats ship?
We currently ship to the pink (1 day) and Blue (2 day) ground shipping zone highlighted on the map.
Is there a purchase minimum?
A $75 minimum order is required in order to qualify for free shipping. Smaller orders will be charged a flat $15 delivery fee.
How is my meat packaged?
Our products are cut and shipped fresh to you in vacuum sealed packages. They are shipped in a Polystyrene cooler with gel ice packs to ensure freshness.
How do I know my meat is safe?
All meat will be shipped fresh (not frozen). It should be cool to the touch when you receive it and the gel ice packs should still be slightly frozen in the center. The ice pack will not be fully frozen and that is okay, as long as a small portion remains frozen then your meat is safe.

When will I receive my order?
We ship Monday-Thursday every week via FedEx. You will receive a tracking number after the order ships so you can track your order. All orders are shipped 1-2 day ground. If you ever have special shipping requests, please contact us prior to ordering to ensure we are able to accommodate your needs. Holidays make affect this schedule. See Holiday Shipping info below.

What types of payment are accepted?
Our preferred payment method is credit/debit card for all customers. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Customers with an established 12 month good payment history will have the option of paying by check. All checks must be received no later than 14 days following the delivery of your order. Customers with returned checks will forfeit their right to pay by check on future orders.
How should I dispose of the Styrofoam cooler? Do you have a recycling program for the Styrofoam containers?
We have arranged a pickup route for coolers and ice packs in select high volume areas. Check the cooler pickup/egg delivery tab at the top of this page for details. You can return your coolers, boxes and ice packs to us at that time so that we can reuse them in an effort to be environmentally and fiscally responsible. If you are not in an area that will have a cooler pickup, you can reuse these items yourself, or see if there is a local agency in your community that can use them.
In addition to our regular no delivery days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) We will also NOT have any deliveries on the following dates:

We will deliver Holiday Cuts ONLY via our own trucks to select areas on November 20th AND December 23rd.
